  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 – 1 ¼ cup hot water

  • Coconut whipped cream
  • Grated dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: Add coconut milk powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, coconut sugar, and optional ground cinnamon into a mug that can hold at least 1 ¼ cups (300 ml). Stir the dry ingredients together until evenly mixed.
  2. Add Small Amount of Hot Water: Pour just enough hot water (about 2 tablespoons or 30 ml) over the dry ingredients to cover them. Use an electric kettle or another method to heat the water to near boiling.
  3. Mix to Create Concentrate: Using a fork or small whisk, vigorously stir the mixture until it forms a smooth, semi-thick hot cocoa concentrate with no lumps.
  4. Add Remaining Hot Water: Add 1 cup (240 ml) of hot water to the concentrate in the mug. Stir thoroughly to break up any remaining clumps and to evenly combine the mixture into a smooth hot chocolate.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Sample the hot chocolate and add more cinnamon or sweetener if desired. Stir well to incorporate any additions.
