Air Fryer French Toast Bites are a quick and easy twist on classic French toast, made crispy and golden in the air fryer. Bite-sized pieces of bread soaked in a sweet cinnamon-vanilla egg mixture, perfect for dipping or snacking. Ideal for busy mornings or casual gatherings with minimal mess.

Ingredients

3 large eggs

¼ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 slices bread

¼ cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3-5 minutes.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.

  • Cut each bread slice into 1-inch bite-sized cubes.

  • Dip bread cubes into the egg mixture, coating thoroughly.

  • Place coated bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.

  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Serve warm with syrup, powdered sugar, or toppings of choice.

Notes

Use slightly stale bread for better soaking without falling apart.

Try different breads such as brioche, challah, or whole wheat.

Add spices like nutmeg or pumpkin spice for variation.

For savory, omit sugar and cinnamon, add herbs or cheese.

Use gluten-free bread to make it gluten-free.

Reheat in air fryer to maintain crispiness, avoid microwave reheating.

Lightly spray basket or use air fryer parchment to prevent sticking.
