A light and refreshing appetizer made with toasted baguette slices topped with creamy goat cheese, zesty avocado, fresh cherry tomatoes, and a hint of jalapeño spice.

Ingredients

1 large avocado, peeled and pitted

Juice from 1 lime

½ jalapeño, seeded and diced

Salt and pepper, to taste

½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved

6 oz goat cheese

1 French baguette, cut into ½1-inch thick slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast until lightly golden and crisp.
  2. In a bowl, mash avocado with lime juice, jalapeño, salt, and pepper until smooth but slightly chunky.
  3. Spread goat cheese over each toasted baguette slice.
  4. Top with a spoonful of avocado mixture.
  5. Finish with halved cherry tomatoes on top for freshness.
  6. Serve immediately while crostini are crisp.
