Baked Feta Pasta is a quick, comforting dish made with roasted tomatoes, creamy feta cheese, and fresh basil. This easy-to-make recipe creates a savory, luscious sauce that perfectly coats your pasta, making it an irresistible meal for any night of the week.

Ingredients

2 ½ cups grape tomatoes, washed and dried

1 (8 oz) brick of Feta cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon salt

5 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

12 oz bow tie pasta, cooked, drained, and kept warm

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Baking Dish: Place the grape tomatoes in a large baking dish. Drizzle with 3 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and salt. Toss to coat the tomatoes evenly.
  3. Add the Feta: Place the block of feta cheese in the center of the dish, surrounded by the tomatoes. Drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the feta cheese.
  4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the tomatoes are bursting and the feta is golden and soft.
  5. Cook the Pasta: While the feta and tomatoes bake, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and keep warm.
  6. Combine: Once the feta and tomatoes are done, remove the dish from the oven. Mash the feta and tomatoes together with a spoon or fork to form a creamy sauce.
  7. Toss with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the dish and toss to coat with the creamy feta sauce. Stir in the chopped fresh basil.
  8. Serve: Serve immediately, garnished with extra basil or feta cheese if desired.

Notes

Feel free to use any pasta shape, such as penne, rigatoni, or spaghetti.

For a different flavor, use fresh or dried oregano, thyme, or rosemary instead of Italian seasoning.

Add vegetables like spinach, zucchini, or bell peppers for extra texture and flavor.

For a more substantial meal, add grilled chicken or shrimp.
