This Berry Lemonade recipe blends juicy mixed berries with fresh lemon juice for a refreshing, vibrant twist on classic lemonade. Bursting with fruity flavor and natural color, it’s quick to make, fully customizable in sweetness, and perfect for hot days, parties, or anytime you need a delicious, non-alcoholic drink.

Ingredients

1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries)

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)

¾ to 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

4 cups cold water

½ cup water (for blending berries)

Ice cubes

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Extra berries (for garnish)

Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Blend the Berries: In a blender, combine berries and ½ cup water. Blend until smooth. For a clear lemonade, strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract juice and discard pulp/seeds.

  2. Make Lemonade Base: In a separate bowl or pitcher, whisk lemon juice and sugar together until sugar dissolves fully.

  3. Combine & Chill: Add the strained berry purée and lemon-sugar mixture into the pitcher. Pour in the remaining 3½ cups cold water and stir well. Adjust sweetness or water if needed.

  4. Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the berry lemonade over. Garnish with lemon slices, fresh berries, and mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Sparkly Version: Replace 2 cups of water with sparkling water just before serving.

Herbal Infusion: Add lavender or basil while chilling for subtle herbal notes.

Sugar-Free: Swap sugar for honey, agave, stevia, or monk fruit sweetener.

Frozen Berries: Thawed frozen berries work well if fresh isn’t available.

Make Ahead: Prepare components in advance and mix just before serving.

Texture Tip: For a more rustic drink, skip straining the purée.
