The Blueberry Mojito Mocktail is a refreshing, non-alcoholic twist on the classic mojito, combining the sweetness of fresh blueberries, the tang of lime, and the aromatic coolness of mint. This mocktail is perfect for any occasion, offering a vibrant and fruity drink that’s both fizzy and flavorful. The homemade blueberry simple syrup brings a burst of color and richness, while sparkling lemon-lime water adds a refreshing effervescence, making it the ultimate thirst-quencher.

Ingredients

For the Blueberry Simple Syrup:
1 cup blueberries

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

For Each Drink:
3 tablespoons blueberry simple syrup

810 mint leaves (+ sprig for garnish)

1/2 lime (+ slices for garnish)

46 tablespoons lemon-lime sparkling water

Ice

Instructions

  • Make the Blueberry Simple Syrup:

    • In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and blueberries release their juices, about 5–7 minutes.

    • Once blueberries soften, remove from heat, let cool for a few minutes, and strain through a fine mesh sieve. Discard solids and let syrup cool completely.

  • Prepare the Mocktail:

    • In a glass, add 3 tablespoons blueberry simple syrup.

    • Add mint leaves and gently muddle them with a muddler or spoon to release their oils.

    • Squeeze the juice of half a lime into the glass and drop in the lime halves.

    • Fill the glass with ice and pour in 4–6 tablespoons of lemon-lime sparkling water (adjust to desired fizz).

    • Stir gently to combine.

  • Garnish and Serve:

    • Garnish with a sprig of mint and a slice of lime.

    • Serve chilled and enjoy your refreshing Blueberry Mojito Mocktail!

Notes

Storage: The blueberry simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Variations: For a frozen version, blend the syrup with ice. Try different berries, like raspberries or blackberries, or swap sparkling water for lemonade for a citrus-forward twist. For an alcoholic version, add rum to turn it into a Blueberry Mojito cocktail.
