An indulgent, layered dessert featuring fudgy brownie cubes, silky chocolate pudding, and fluffy whipped topping, finished with chocolate shavings — rich, creamy, and irresistibly easy to make.

Ingredients

1 package (18.3 oz) brownie mix, plus ingredients listed on box

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

1/2 cup water

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 container (12 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 Hershey’s chocolate bar (1.55 oz), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare brownies according to package directions. Cool completely, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix, water, and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and thickened.
  3. Fold the 8-ounce container of whipped topping into the pudding mixture until creamy and fully combined.
  4. In a trifle dish or clear glass bowl, layer half the brownie cubes on the bottom.
  5. Spoon half the pudding mixture over the brownies and spread evenly.
  6. Add a layer of the 12-ounce whipped topping over the pudding.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining brownies, pudding mixture, and whipped topping, finishing with a smooth whipped topping layer.
  8. Use a vegetable peeler or grater to shave the Hershey’s bar into curls or pieces; sprinkle over the top.
  9. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving to allow layers to set and flavors to meld.

Notes

Make ahead — tastes even better after chilling overnight.

Add crushed cookies, caramel drizzle, or candy bar pieces between layers for extra flavor.

Use sugar-free pudding and light whipped topping for a lighter version.

Swap chocolate pudding for vanilla, mocha, or peanut butter flavors for variety.

Top with berries or crushed peppermint for a festive twist.
