Ingredients

For Dora Cake:
1 cup maida/refined flour

½ cup powdered sugar

¼ cup milk powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 pinch salt

¾ cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Chocolate Sauce:
1 teaspoon butter

½ cup milk

5 tablespoons sugar

3 tablespoons cocoa powder

1 tablespoon corn flour

Instructions

For the Dora Cake:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine maida, powdered sugar, milk powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Gradually add milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth and well combined.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.

  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. Let the cake cool before serving.

For the Chocolate Sauce:

  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add milk, sugar, and cocoa powder, and whisk until the mixture is smooth.

  3. Stir in corn flour and cook, whisking constantly, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.

  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Add chopped nuts like walnuts or almonds to the cake batter for extra crunch.

For a vegan version, replace butter with coconut oil and use plant-based milk for the sauce.

You can experiment by adding a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla extract to the chocolate sauce for additional flavor.
