Crispy bread rings filled with gooey cheese, paneer, and colorful veggies, brushed with garlic butter and baked until golden perfect for tea-time, parties, or kids’ snacks.

Ingredients

14 bread slices

3/4 cup finely chopped mixed veggies (capsicum, tomatoes, onions, cilantro leaves)

1/4 cup crumbled paneer

4 tbsp grated cheese

1/2 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp pepper powder

2 tbsp tomato sauce

Salt to taste

For Butter Spread:

1/4 cup soft butter

3 garlic pods, crushed

1/4 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Trim the edges of bread slices and flatten slightly with a rolling pin.
  2. Cut two circles from each slice, then cut a smaller circle in half of them to form bread rings.
  3. In a bowl, mix veggies, paneer, grated cheese, oregano, pepper, tomato sauce, and salt.
  4. Spread filling onto solid bread circles, then top each with a bread ring.
  5. Mix soft butter with crushed garlic and oregano to make butter spread.
  6. Brush butter spread generously over the top of each bread ring.
  7. Bake or toast in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve hot with ketchup or dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crunch, add corn or grated carrots to the filling.

Swap paneer with mozzarella for a gooier texture.

Shallow-fry in butter or oil instead of baking for a richer version.

Use white, whole wheat, or multigrain bread depending on preference.

Reheat leftovers in the oven for 5–7 minutes; avoid microwaving.
