Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tsp Slap Your Mama® seasoning

1 tsp garlic salt

1 cup milk

1 cup panko bread crumbs (may need more)

½¾ cup vegetable oil

4 slices Swiss cheese, cut into 1-inch squares

⅔ cup mayonnaise (for dipping sauce, optional)

1 tbsp mustard (for dipping sauce, optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour with Slap Your Mama® seasoning and garlic salt.
  3. Place milk in a second bowl and panko in a third.
  4. Dip each chicken cube first in flour, then in milk, and finally coat with panko, pressing crumbs to stick.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high until hot.
  6. Fry chicken bites in batches until golden and cooked through, about 4–6 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  7. While warm, place a small square of Swiss cheese on top of each bite to melt slightly.
  8. For dipping sauce, mix mayonnaise and mustard until smooth.
  9. Serve chicken cordon bleu bites hot with dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

Bake at 400°F instead of frying for a lighter option.

Use paprika or cayenne in flour mixture for extra flavor.

Breaded chicken bites can be refrigerated ahead of time or frozen before cooking.

Check chicken reaches 165°F internal temperature for doneness.
