Ingredients

Chocolate Mixture

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips

Cereal Base

  • 1 cup puffed rice or puffed quinoa

Instructions

  1. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth and fully melted.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add the puffed rice or puffed quinoa to the melted chocolate and gently stir until all the grains are fully coated with chocolate.
  3. Press the Mixture: Pour the chocolate and puffed rice mixture into a lined baking dish or tray, spreading evenly and pressing down firmly to create an even layer.
  4. Chill to Set: Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate has completely hardened and the bars hold together well.
  5. Cut and Serve: Once set, remove from the fridge and cut into bars or squares. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for later enjoyment.

Notes

  • For a nuttier flavor, substitute puffed quinoa for puffed rice.
  • You can use semi-sweet, milk, or dark chocolate chips based on preference.
  • Add-ins like chopped nuts, dried fruit, or seeds can be incorporated for extra texture and taste.
  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate to keep longer.
