Ingredients

Meatloaf:

1 large egg

⅓ cup milk

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

½ cup plain breadcrumbs

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

¼ tsp freshly cracked black pepper

½ cup minced onion

1.5 lbs ground beef

Glaze:

½ cup ketchup

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp yellow mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • In a large bowl, combine egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and minced onion. Mix well.

  • Add ground beef and gently mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep it tender.

  • Shape the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet or transfer to a loaf pan.

  • Mix ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard to make the glaze.

  • Spread half the glaze evenly over the meatloaf.

  • Bake for 45 minutes, then remove from oven and spread remaining glaze on top.

  • Bake an additional 15–20 minutes until cooked through and glaze is caramelized.

  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Add diced bell peppers, carrots, or mushrooms for extra moisture and nutrients.

Add shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese inside or on top for a cheesy twist.

Add hot sauce or chili flakes for a spicy kick.

Substitute ground turkey for a leaner meatloaf.

Use barbecue sauce or honey-mustard glaze instead of ketchup.
