Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Slice cheeses, meats, and fruits into bite-sized portions. Slice the baguette into rounds and arrange the crackers neatly. Wash and trim vegetables and fruits like grapes, carrots, radishes, and asparagus.
  2. Arrange the Board: Start by placing the largest items like cheese wedges, meats, and bread. Arrange them in sections around the board, ensuring space for easy access.
  3. Add Dips and Preserves: Place dips like hummus, pesto, and babaganoush in small bowls or ramekins, positioning them near complementary items such as hummus by carrots or pesto near cheeses.
  4. Fill in the Gaps: Add fruits, vegetables, pickles, and olives. Scatter blueberries, raspberries, cherries, and strawberries in one corner and grapes, kiwi, and figs in another. Scatter asparagus, radishes, and cherry tomatoes around.
  5. Add Crackers and Nuts: Arrange crackers and nuts around the board, either in rows or casually for a relaxed look. Sprinkle roasted macadamias, almonds, and dried fruits between items.
  6. Garnish: Finish by scattering rosemary, thyme, and edible flowers across the board for a fragrant and colorful touch.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately with small utensils and napkins for easy enjoyment.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the meats and increase the variety of cheeses, fruits, and vegetables.
  • For a vegan board, substitute with vegan cheeses and plant-based dips like guacamole or baba ghanoush.
  • If you’re gluten-free, opt for gluten-free crackers or replace with gluten-free bread.
  • Additional toppings such as smoked salmon or grilled veggies like zucchini and bell peppers can be added for extra richness.
