A cozy, gourmet grilled cheese made with creamy Brie, tangy cranberry sauce, and optional pecans or herbs perfect for a quick lunch or indulgent snack.

Ingredients

4 slices of bread

2 tablespoons butter, softened

4 ounces Brie cheese, thinly sliced

1/4 cup cranberry sauce

2 tablespoons chopped pecans (optional)

1 tablespoon fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary, optional)

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  2. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer Brie cheese evenly.
  3. Spread cranberry sauce over the Brie.
  4. Sprinkle with pecans and fresh herbs, if using.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

Use sourdough, artisan, or cranberry-pecan bread for extra flavor.

Room-temperature Brie slices more easily and melts faster.

A panini press or oven method works well for even toasting.

Pair with tomato soup, green salad, or fruit for a balanced meal.
