Ingredients
Ingredients
1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
1 stick salted butter (½ cup)
5 ounces crumbled blue cheese (not fancy)
Dried rosemary or parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to allow it to reach the right temperature while you prepare the appetizer.
Prepare biscuit dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a small disk using your hands or a rolling pin.
Add butter and cheese: Place a small piece of salted butter in the center of each flattened biscuit, then add a spoonful of crumbled blue cheese on top of the butter.
Seal the dough: Fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the butter and cheese, pinching the seams to seal the filling inside completely, forming little stuffed dough balls.
Arrange on baking sheet: Place the stuffed biscuits seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased, optionally sprinkle dried rosemary or parsley on top for added flavor and presentation.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
Serve warm: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving warm as a savory appetizer.
Notes
You can substitute salted butter with unsalted butter and add a pinch of salt if preferred.
Use crumbled blue cheese of any variety, but avoid very strong or fancy types to keep balance.
If desired, add herbs like rosemary or parsley on top for extra flavor and a nice appearance.
Serve with a side of honey or fig jam for a sweet and savory contrast.
For a dairy-free or different flavor profile, experiment with other cheeses like goat cheese, but it will change the taste significantly.
