Grilled avocado is a quick, simple, and delicious side dish that adds a smoky, savory twist to any meal. With just a few ingredients like ripe avocados, garlic salt, and salsa, you can create a flavorful addition to tacos, salads, or burgers. This easy recipe is perfect for a healthy snack or a barbecue favorite.

 

Ingredients

2 ripe avocados

1/4 cup salsa (for serving)

1 tbsp olive oil or non-stick spray

1 tsp garlic salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to medium heat.

  • Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit.

  • Lightly brush the avocado halves with olive oil or spray with non-stick spray.

  • Season the avocados with garlic salt.

  • Place the avocado halves on the grill, cut side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes, until grill marks appear.

  • Flip the avocado halves and grill for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  • Remove the avocados from the grill and serve with salsa on top.

Notes

Grilled avocados can be topped with shredded cheese, or herbs like cilantro for extra flavor.

If you prefer a spicy kick, drizzle hot sauce or sprinkle chili flakes on top.

Fresh lime juice adds a zesty, tangy flavor if desired.

Store leftover grilled avocado in the refrigerator for up to 1 day, but consume fresh for the best texture.
