Ingredients

2 pkgs refrigerated crescent rolls or pizza crust (We use Pillsbury)

1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce

Shredded mozzarella cheese

Pepperoni or your favorite pizza toppings

Garlic butter (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • If using crescent rolls, unroll them and separate the triangles. If using pizza crust, roll it out on a flat surface.

  • Place a small spoonful of spaghetti sauce in the center of each dough piece, being careful not to add too much sauce to avoid soggy pockets.

  • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

  • Add your preferred pizza toppings, such as pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, or olives.

  • Fold the dough over the fillings to create a pocket and press the edges to seal. For a decorative touch, crimp the edges with a fork.

  • Arrange the pizza pockets on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.

  • If desired, brush the tops with garlic butter for extra flavor and a golden finish.

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Let the pizza pockets cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with extra spaghetti sauce on the side for dipping!

Notes

Experiment with different pizza toppings like bell peppers, onions, spinach, or even fresh basil for a Margherita-inspired pocket.

Swap mozzarella for cheddar, provolone, or a blend of Italian cheeses for a twist.

Add some crushed red pepper flakes for a bit of heat, or try spicy sausage for a spicy variation.

For a vegetarian option, load up on fresh veggies like zucchini, olives, mushrooms, and artichokes.
