A cozy and flavorful Easy Instant Pot Spiced Apple Cider made with apples, orange, maple syrup, and warming spices. Quick to prepare in the Instant Pot and perfect for fall gatherings or chilly evenings.

Ingredients

6 organic medium apples, cored and quartered

2 1/2 cups filtered water (or more as needed)

Zest of 1 organic orange

Juice of 1 organic orange, strained

1/4 cup real maple syrup

1 inch fresh ginger, sliced

2 cinnamon sticks

7 whole cloves

Instructions

  1. Place apples, water, orange zest, orange juice, maple syrup, ginger, cinnamon sticks, and cloves into the Instant Pot.
  2. Secure the lid, set valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
  3. Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then carefully release remaining steam.
  4. Gently mash the apples with a potato masher to release more flavor.
  5. Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large pitcher.
  6. Serve warm, or cool and refrigerate to enjoy chilled later.

Notes

Use a mix of sweet and tart apples (e.g., Honeycrisp, Fuji, Granny Smith) for best flavor.

Adjust sweetness with more maple syrup or honey if desired.

Add star anise for a stronger spiced flavor.

For a grown-up twist, add a splash of bourbon or spiced rum.

Serve chilled over ice for a refreshing option.
