For The Peach Syrup:
2 cups diced peaches (pits removed)
1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar
1 cup water
For The Peach Lemonade:
1 batch peach syrup (about 1 3/4 cups)
1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (7–9 lemons)
3 cups water or sparkling water/soda water
3–4 cups ice
Optional Garnish:
Fresh peach slices or diced peaches
Lemon slices
Fresh mint sprigs
Edible flowers (like chamomile)
Fresh berries
Start by making the peach syrup. In a medium saucepan, combine the diced peaches, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the peaches are softened and the sugar is fully dissolved (about 10 minutes).
Mash the peaches gently with a spoon or potato masher to release their juices.
Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the syrup to cool to room temperature. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove peach solids.
To make the lemonade, combine fresh lemon juice, peach syrup, and water (or sparkling water) in a large pitcher. Stir to combine.
Add the ice and stir again.
Serve the peach lemonade in glasses filled with ice and garnish with peach slices, lemon slices, mint sprigs, edible flowers, or fresh berries.
Storage: Store leftover peach syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Mixed lemonade can be stored for 2-3 days.
Variations: Use sparkling water for a fizzy version, or combine iced tea with the syrup for extra flavor.
Vegan: This recipe is vegan-friendly.
