Everything Bagel Dip is a creamy, flavorful spread inspired by the classic everything bagel seasoning. Combining cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise with a savory mix of dried onions, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and garlic powder, this quick and easy dip is perfect for parties, snacks, or casual gatherings. Ready in just 10 minutes, it serves 12 and pairs wonderfully with bagel chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Dip Base

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Everything Bagel Seasoning

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp minced dried onion
  • 1 Tbsp poppy seeds
  • 2 tsp toasted white sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp black sesame seeds (or more toasted white sesame seeds)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt, plus more to taste

Instructions

  1. Whip Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric hand mixer to whip the softened cream cheese until it becomes fluffy, which should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Add Sour Cream and Mayonnaise: Add the sour cream and mayonnaise into the whipped cream cheese and blend until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  3. Prepare Seasoning Mix: In a separate small bowl, mix together the minced dried onion, poppy seeds, toasted white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, and garlic powder. Set aside 1 teaspoon of this mixture for garnish.
  4. Combine Seasoning with Dip: Pour the remaining seasoning mixture into the cream cheese blend and mix thoroughly to evenly distribute all the flavors.
  5. Season and Garnish: Season the dip with kosher salt to taste. Optionally, add a pinch of black pepper if desired. Garnish the top of the dip with the reserved teaspoon of everything bagel seasoning.
  6. Serve and Store: Serve the dip chilled with bagel chips, crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to one week. If the dip becomes too thick, thin it out with a little milk as needed.

Notes

  • The seasoning mixture can be adjusted to personal preference by increasing or decreasing the amounts of sesame seeds or dried onion.
  • For a smoother dip consistency, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened before whipping.
  • This dip keeps well refrigerated for up to one week and flavors intensify over time.
  • Substitute black sesame seeds with more toasted white sesame seeds if desired for a milder taste.
  • Add freshly ground black pepper for an extra hint of spice if preferred.
