Fan-Freaking-Tastic S’more Bars take the beloved campfire treat and turn it into a decadent, chewy, and crispy dessert. With a crunchy oat base, gooey marshmallows, and rich milk chocolate, these bars offer the perfect combination of textures and flavors. Easy to make and utterly delicious, they’re perfect for any occasion!

 

Ingredients

Crust:

1 cup old-fashioned or quick oats

4 large graham crackers, crushed

⅓ cup flour

¼ cup brown sugar, lightly packed

Dash of salt

½ cup butter, melted

Topping:

1 cup milk chocolate chips (heaping)

12 large marshmallows, cut in half or thirds

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, crushed graham crackers, flour, brown sugar, and salt.

  3. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is crumbly and evenly mixed.

  4. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.

  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and slightly firm to the touch.

Add the Topping:
6. Remove the crust from the oven and sprinkle the milk chocolate chips evenly over the hot crust.
7. Carefully arrange the cut marshmallows (halves or thirds) on top of the chocolate, pressing gently into the warm crust.
8. Return to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until the marshmallows are puffed and golden brown.
9. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For added crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts like almonds, pecans, or walnuts over the chocolate before adding the marshmallows.

Swap the milk chocolate for dark chocolate or white chocolate for different flavor options.

If you want a fun twist, use flavored marshmallows such as vanilla, caramel, or chocolate.
