Ingredients

Lobster Tails

  • 4 lobster tails, 4 ounces each, raw and completely thawed

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Garnish and Serving

  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to prepare for baking the lobster tails.
  2. Prepare the lobster tails: Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise, down the center of the back, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull apart the shell slightly and lift the lobster meat, resting it on top of the shell so it sits exposed.
  3. Make the garlic butter mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, sweet paprika, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir well to create a flavorful garlic butter sauce.
  4. Brush lobster tails: Generously brush each lobster tail meat with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring they are well coated for maximum flavor and moisture during baking.
  5. Bake the lobster tails: Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through. The meat should be slightly firm to the touch.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove the lobster tails from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over them. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the lobster meat.

Notes

  • Ensure lobster tails are fully thawed before cooking for even baking.
  • Do not overcook the lobster as it can become tough and rubbery.
  • Adjust garlic and seasoning amounts to taste.
  • For a richer flavor, you can baste the lobster tails once more with garlic butter halfway through baking.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
