2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce

1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest (optional)

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt & pepper, to taste

¼ cup fresh herbs, chopped (such as parsley and basil)

Instructions

  1. Soften the butter until spreadable but not melted.
  2. Mix in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce), lemon zest, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Fold in the fresh herbs until evenly distributed.
  4. Shape the butter into a log using plastic wrap or parchment paper, then refrigerate until firm (about 1 hour).
  5. Slice off pieces as needed or allow to soften before spreading.

Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.

Swap parsley and basil with dill and chives for fish.

Enhance with extra lemon zest or a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.

Blend in Dijon mustard for tanginess.
