Ingredients

Shrimp Mixture

  • 1 ½ pounds raw shrimp, peeled and de-veined
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 3 tablespoons white wine
  • Kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste

Topping and Garnish

  • ¼ cup (4 tablespoons) melted butter
  • ½ cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1-2 tablespoons freshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh Italian-leaf parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F to prepare for baking the shrimp.
  2. Prepare Shrimp Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the peeled and de-veined shrimp with minced garlic and white wine. Toss everything together to coat the shrimp evenly. Transfer the mixture to a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and spread the shrimp into an even layer. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  3. Make Panko Topping: Rinse out the mixing bowl, then add the melted butter and Panko bread crumbs. Stir with a fork until the mixture is evenly combined. Use your fingers to sprinkle the Panko mixture evenly over the shrimp in the baking dish.
  4. Bake Shrimp: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 7 minutes, or until the shrimp start turning pink around the edges.
  5. Broil for Finish: Switch your oven to the high broiler setting. Broil the shrimp for an additional 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are fully pink and cooked through and the Panko topping is toasted and golden.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dish from the oven, drizzle freshly squeezed lemon juice evenly over the shrimp, and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately to enjoy the shrimp at their best.

Notes

  • Use fresh or thawed shrimp for best texture and flavor.
  • Adjust garlic quantity to suit your taste preference if desired.
  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the shrimp mixture.
  • Serve with crusty bread or over a bed of rice or pasta for a complete meal.
  • Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them juicy and tender.
