This Heaven on Earth Cake is a light, creamy, and delicious no-bake dessert layered with airy angel food cake, rich vanilla pudding, and tangy sour cream. It’s the perfect make-ahead treat for gatherings, potlucks, or any time you want a simple yet indulgent dessert that’s sure to impress!

Ingredients

1 box angel food cake mix (or 1 prepared angel food cake)

1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding

1½ cups milk

1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cake:

    • If using a cake mix, prepare and bake the angel food cake according to package instructions. Let it cool completely.

    • If using a pre-made angel food cake, skip to the next step.

  • Make the Filling:

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thickened (about 2 minutes).

    • Fold in the sour cream until smooth and fully combined.

  • Assemble the Cake:

    • Cut or tear the cooled angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.

    • In a trifle dish or 9×13-inch pan, layer half of the cake pieces, then spread half of the pudding mixture on top. Repeat with the remaining cake and pudding layers.

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill and allow flavors to meld.

  • Serve:

    • Optional: Garnish with whipped cream, fresh berries, or a sprinkle of shredded coconut before serving.
