Homemade frozen yogurt is a creamy, cool, and customizable treat that is healthier than store-bought versions. It’s easy to make and perfect for anyone who loves a refreshing dessert.

Ingredients

2 cups yogurt of choice

1/4 cup sweetener of choice

Add-ins or toppings of choice (e.g., berries, chocolate chips, nuts)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt and sweetener of choice. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Pour the yogurt mixture into an ice cream maker, if you have one. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to churn the yogurt until it reaches a thick, creamy consistency.
  3. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, place the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze it for about 2 hours. Stir every 30 minutes to break up any ice crystals until the texture becomes creamy and smooth.
  4. Once the frozen yogurt is at the desired consistency, add your toppings or mix-ins (e.g., berries, chocolate chips, nuts, etc.).
  5. Serve immediately for a soft-serve experience or freeze for another 2 hours for a firmer texture.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1-2 weeks.

If you don’t have an ice cream maker, freeze the mixture and stir every 30 minutes for a smooth consistency.

Use full-fat yogurt for a creamier texture.

For vegan options, use plant-based yogurt like coconut or almond.
