A refreshing and lightly sweetened Honey Mocktail featuring a homemade ginger-infused honey syrup topped with sparkling water. This easy-to-make mocktail balances the natural sweetness of honey with the zest of fresh ginger, perfect for a healthy and delightful non-alcoholic beverage.

Ingredients

Honey Syrup

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup still water
  • 3 slices root ginger

To Serve

  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • Ice, as needed

Instructions

  1. Make the Ginger Honey Syrup: Pour the honey and still water into a pot, then add the slices of root ginger. Bring to a medium heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until the honey dissolves completely and the ginger aroma infuses into the syrup. Remove the ginger slices carefully with tongs and set the syrup aside to cool.
  2. Assemble the Mocktail: Fill two tumbler glasses with ice cubes. Evenly divide the cooled honey syrup between the glasses. Top each glass with sparkling water to add a refreshing fizz. Stir gently before serving to mix flavors.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey syrup to your sweetness preference.
  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of fresh ginger or steep the syrup longer.
  • Use chilled sparkling water to keep the mocktail cool without diluting it further.
  • This mocktail is best served immediately but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
