Loaded Buffalo Chicken Fries combine crispy oven-baked french fries topped with spicy buffalo chicken, tangy blue cheese dressing, and fresh pico de gallo for a flavorful and crowd-pleasing appetizer or meal perfect for game day or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Fries

  • 1 (20-26 ounce) bag frozen french fries

Buffalo Chicken

  • 2 to 2 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 2/3 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Bake Fries: Preheat your oven according to the frozen french fries package instructions and bake the fries until crispy and golden brown.
  2. Prepare Buffalo Sauce: While fries bake, combine the hot sauce, butter, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan. Heat gently until the butter has melted and the sauce is well combined.
  3. Toss Chicken in Sauce: Add the shredded chicken to the buffalo sauce and toss thoroughly to coat all the chicken pieces. Keep the buffalo chicken warm until ready to assemble.
  4. Assemble the Fries: On a large serving platter, spread the blue cheese dressing evenly over the bottom.
  5. Top with Fries and Chicken: Evenly distribute the baked fries over the blue cheese dressing, then layer the buffalo chicken on top of the fries.
  6. Add Pico de Gallo: Finish by spooning fresh pico de gallo over the top of the buffalo chicken layer.
  7. Serve Warm: Serve the loaded buffalo chicken fries immediately while warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • You can use homemade fries if preferred, just bake them until crispy.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce based on your desired spice level.
  • For a milder version, substitute the blue cheese dressing with ranch dressing.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the oven for best results.
  • Shredded chicken can be from rotisserie chicken for convenience.
