Ingredients

Pastry:

  • 2 sheets (250g each) puff pastry
  • Flour for dusting

Filling:

  • ½ cup Nutella
  • 20 g hazelnuts, chopped

Finishing:

  • Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the workspace: Lightly dust your clean surface with flour to prevent the puff pastry from sticking.
  2. Roll out the pastry: Place one sheet of puff pastry on the floured surface and gently roll it out slightly to smooth any creases.
  3. Cut the pastry: Cut the puff pastry sheet into triangles of equal size to create croissant shapes.
  4. Add the filling: Spoon about a teaspoon of Nutella at the wide end of each triangle, then sprinkle a few chopped hazelnuts on top.
  5. Shape the croissants: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll each triangle towards the tip to form the croissant shape, tuck the tip underneath to secure.
  6. Repeat with second sheet: Repeat the rolling, cutting, filling, and shaping process with the second sheet of puff pastry.
  7. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  8. Bake the croissants: Place the shaped croissants on the tray, spacing them evenly. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
