A simple and elegant peaches and cream dessert featuring tender peaches in a light syrup topped with freshly whipped cream. Refreshing, classic, and perfect for summer.

Ingredients

4 medium fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

⅓ cup white sugar, or to taste

¼ cup water

1 ½ cups heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the peaches into wedges.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, simmering until sugar dissolves into a syrup.
  3. Add peach slices to the syrup and cook for a few minutes until slightly softened but still holding shape.
  4. Remove from heat and let peaches cool to room temperature.
  5. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  6. Serve peaches in bowls, spoon some syrup over them, and top with whipped cream.

Notes

Add vanilla or almond extract to the whipped cream for extra flavor.

Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm twist.

Swap heavy cream for Greek yogurt or coconut cream for a lighter or dairy-free version.

Use fresh peaches for the best flavor, though canned peaches can work in a pinch.
