Juicy fresh strawberries dipped in orange candy melts to look like pumpkins, served on a crushed cookie ‘dirt’ base for a festive pumpkin patch effect. A quick, fun, and colorful no-bake Halloween treat.

Ingredients

1 lb fresh strawberries (large, firm, with green tops)

12 oz orange candy melts (or white chocolate + orange food coloring)

1 tsp coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother melting)

12 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed

6 chocolate peanut butter cups or chocolate disks (optional, for texture)

23 tbsp reserved melted orange chocolate (for drizzling)

Piping bag or zip-top bag

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries, leaving green tops intact.
  2. Melt orange candy melts (or white chocolate with orange food coloring) in 20–30 second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth. Add coconut oil if needed.
  3. Dip strawberries into melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  4. Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
  5. Transfer reserved melted chocolate to a piping bag and drizzle thin lines for pumpkin-like ridges.
  6. Crush chocolate cookies and mix with chopped peanut butter cups for the dirt base.
  7. Arrange strawberries on top of the cookie mixture for a pumpkin patch effect.

Notes

Use oil-based food coloring when tinting chocolate to avoid seizing.

Keep strawberries at room temperature before dipping to prevent cracking.

Serve the same day for best freshness and appearance.

For variety, dip tops in green candy melts or drizzle with dark chocolate.

Do not use frozen strawberries; they release too much liquid.
