Ingredients

Chicken (any cut – breasts, thighs, or a mix)

Freshly squeezed lemon juice

Chicken broth

Heavy cream or coconut milk (for dairy-free version)

Dried or fresh dill

Salt, onion powder, pepper

Butter or ghee (optional, for richness)

Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  2. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice to partially submerge chicken.
  3. Add dill and optional butter or ghee for extra richness.
  4. Cover and cook on low 4–6 hours or high 2–3 hours until chicken is tender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream or coconut milk 20–30 minutes before serving. Heat through without boiling.
  6. Adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or dill.
  7. Garnish with fresh lemon slices and serve over rice, noodles, or with roasted vegetables.

Spicy: add red pepper flakes or paprika.

Make-Ahead: cook chicken in advance, store sauce separately, and reheat gently.
