Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 tbsp honey

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp grated ginger

1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)

2 tbsp cornstarch

2 tbsp vegetable oil

8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)

2 green onions, chopped

1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Coat the chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly covered.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, then cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes (if using).
  4. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet, stirring until it thickens and coats the chicken in a sticky glaze.
  5. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together until the noodles are coated in the sticky garlic sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Swap chicken for shrimp, beef, or tofu for variety.

Add vegetables like broccoli, snap peas, or bell peppers for extra nutrition.

Toss noodles with a little oil after draining to prevent sticking.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat with a splash of water or soy sauce.

Avoid freezing the noodle dish as they can turn mushy; freeze chicken and sauce separately if needed.
