Ingredients

Chocolate Base

  • 10 oz white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder

Topping and Decoration

  • 3 tablespoons freeze-dried strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking surface. Lay out a sheet of parchment paper on a tray or cookie sheet to ensure easy removal of the chocolate bark later.
  2. Melt the white chocolate. Using a double boiler, gently melt the white chocolate until about halfway done, or microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after each until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Set aside some white chocolate for swirling. Spoon out four tablespoons of the melted white chocolate into a small bowl; this will be used later for decorative swirls.
  4. Add matcha to remaining chocolate. Sift the matcha powder into the larger bowl of melted white chocolate and stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and evenly colored.
  5. Spread the matcha white chocolate. Pour and evenly spread the matcha-infused chocolate onto the prepared parchment paper to form an even layer.
  6. Create swirls. Drizzle the reserved white chocolate over the matcha layer, then use a chopstick or toothpick to swirl the two chocolates together artistically.
  7. Add strawberries and sea salt. Sprinkle the freeze-dried strawberries and sea salt flakes evenly over the surface for texture and flavor contrast.
  8. Chill to set. Place the tray in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until the chocolate has completely hardened.
  9. Cut and store. Break or cut the set chocolate into irregular, bite-sized pieces and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate for the best texture and flavor.
  • Matcha can be sifted to avoid clumps and ensure smooth mixing with the chocolate.
  • Freeze-dried strawberries provide intense flavor without adding moisture, keeping the bark crisp.
  • You can customize the bark by adding nuts or other dried fruits according to your preference.
  • Store the bark in the refrigerator as white chocolate can soften at room temperature.
