Ingredients

Sesame oil

Ground beef

Onion, diced

Garlic, minced

Ginger, minced

Teriyaki sauce

Instructions

  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 1 minute. Add ground beef, diced onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook, breaking up beef, until beef is no longer pink and onions are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.

  • Stir in teriyaki sauce, bring to a simmer, and cook 3-5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

  • Serve hot over steamed rice, in tortillas, or wrapped in lettuce. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or cilantro if desired.

Notes

Add vegetables like bell peppers, snap peas, or shredded carrots for extra crunch and nutrition.

Spice it up with red pepper flakes or sriracha.

Use homemade or store-bought teriyaki sauce.

Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a different protein.

Store leftovers refrigerated up to 3 days; freeze portions for up to 2 months.
