A creamy, soft-serve-like frozen banana dessert made with just three ingredients. Naturally sweet, healthy, and endlessly customizable with fun flavor variations.

Ingredients

4 large bananas, sliced and frozen (about 4 cups slices)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons plain milk (dairy or non-dairy)

Variations:

  • Chocolate: 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Peanut Butter: 1/4 cup peanut butter + 2 tablespoons honey
  • Caramel Pecan Swirl: 1/2 cup caramel sauce + 4 tablespoons chopped toasted pecans
  • Strawberry: 1 cup frozen strawberries + 2 tablespoons honey
  • Chocolate Chip: 3 ounces dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Place frozen banana slices, vanilla, and milk into a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Enjoy immediately as soft-serve, or transfer to a container and freeze 1–2 hours for a firmer texture.
  4. For variations, blend in additional ingredients (like cocoa powder, peanut butter, or strawberries) with the bananas.
  5. For toppings such as caramel swirl, pecans, or melted chocolate, fold them in after blending before freezing or serving.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for the best sweetness and creaminess.

For vegan, use non-dairy milk and skip honey in variations.

Let frozen leftovers sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before serving.

A shallow container helps prevent iciness when freezing.
