These Easiest Air Fryer Donuts are golden, fluffy, and glazed with a pretty pink icing all without the hassle of frying. Ready in under 30 minutes, they’re a fun and quick homemade treat served with raspberry jam and custard for dipping.

Ingredients

250 g all-purpose flour (about 2 cups)

30 g caster sugar (about 2 1/2 Tbsp)

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 large egg

100 ml buttermilk (about 1/3 cup + 1 Tbsp)

23 Tbsp melted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 Tbsp vegetable oil (for brushing)

200 g powdered sugar (about 1 1/2 cups), sifted

23 Tbsp whole milk

3 drops pink food coloring

3 Tbsp seedless raspberry jam

6 Tbsp vanilla custard

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently do not overmix.
  5. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness on a floured surface.
  6. Cut out donuts with round cutters (use smaller cutter for centers).
  7. Brush lightly with vegetable oil on both sides.
  8. Arrange in air fryer basket in a single layer.
  9. Cook 5–6 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and puffed.
  10. For icing: whisk powdered sugar, milk, and food coloring until smooth.
  11. Dip tops of donuts into icing, then set on wire rack.
  12. Serve with raspberry jam and vanilla custard for dipping.

Notes

Use the donut holes to make mini bites—roll in cinnamon sugar or glaze.

Try chocolate glaze, vanilla glaze, or sprinkle toppings for variety.

Add zest or extracts to customize flavor.

For make-ahead, freeze unglazed donuts and decorate after reheating.
