The Viral Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread is a fusion of creamy chicken Alfredo and crispy, garlicky bread. Grilled chicken, garlic butter, and Alfredo sauce are baked on an Italian loaf, creating a rich and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

2 small chicken breasts

1 Italian style loaf

2 tablespoons poultry seasoning (or salt, pepper, garlic powder)

1 ½ sticks unsalted butter

2 tablespoons minced garlic (or garlic paste)

2 tablespoons chopped parsley

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons olive oil

¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with poultry seasoning (or salt, pepper, and garlic powder) on both sides. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.
  2. Prepare the garlic butter: In the same skillet, melt unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in parsley and red pepper flakes, and cook for another minute.
  3. Make the Alfredo sauce: Lower the heat and add heavy cream to the skillet. Stir in shredded mozzarella and Parmesan, allowing the cheese to melt and the sauce to thicken. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Prepare the garlic bread: Slice the Italian loaf in half lengthwise and brush both halves with the garlic butter mixture. Coat evenly for maximum flavor.
  5. Assemble the bread: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the garlic butter-coated bread on a baking sheet. Top each half with sliced chicken and pour Alfredo sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
  7. Serve: Let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or microwave, but the bread may lose crispiness.

For a vegetarian version, replace the chicken with grilled vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms.

If you prefer more heat, increase red pepper flakes or add hot sauce to the Alfredo sauce.

You can substitute the Italian loaf with French baguette or ciabatta for different textures.

If you want to make this dish ahead, prepare the chicken and Alfredo sauce in advance and store them separately.
