Vegan Jaffa Cake Dessert is a creamy, plant-based pudding that combines rich chocolate with zesty orange for a lighter twist on the classic treat. It’s smooth, refreshing, and perfect as a make-ahead dessert.

Ingredients

1 ¼ cups oat milk (300 ml)

2 TBS vegan chocolate spread

1 TBS raw cacao powder

Juice of 1 large orange

½ tsp Vegeset or cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Pour oat milk into a saucepan and heat gently over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in vegan chocolate spread and raw cacao powder until smooth.
  3. In a small bowl, mix orange juice with Vegeset (or cornstarch) until dissolved.
  4. Add the orange mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
  5. Simmer gently for a few minutes until thickened to a pudding-like consistency.
  6. Pour into serving glasses or ramekins and let cool to room temperature.
  7. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour to set.
  8. Garnish with orange zest or shaved vegan chocolate before serving, if desired.

Notes

Add orange extract for a stronger citrus flavor.

Swap some oat milk with coconut milk for a richer texture.

Swirl in marmalade for extra Jaffa cake-like layers.

Top with whipped coconut cream for a layered dessert.

Best served chilled, but can also be enjoyed warm as pudding.
