These white chocolate matcha cookies combine the earthy, vibrant flavor of matcha green tea with creamy white chocolate in a soft, chewy cookie. Perfectly balanced and easy to make, they’re an ideal snack or dessert for matcha lovers.
125 g (½ cup) unsalted butter, room temperature
150 g (¾ cup) granulated sugar
1 large egg
180 g (1½ cups) all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
4 teaspoons matcha powder
150 g (⅔ cup) white chocolate (Callebaut or quality chips), chopped
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg until combined.
Sift flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and matcha powder together.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until just combined.
