Wild mushroom seasoning salt is a versatile, umami-rich blend made with dried mushrooms, herbs, and aromatics. It adds earthy depth to vegetables, meats, grains, soups, and more.

Ingredients

1 tbsp dried parsley flakes

1 tbsp dried thyme leaves

1 tbsp dried sage leaves

2 tbsp powdered dried wild mushrooms (from about 10 g dried mushrooms)

6 tbsp kosher salt

4 tsp granulated onion powder

2 tsp granulated garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Grind dried mushrooms into a fine powder using a spice grinder or food processor.
  2. In a small bowl, combine mushroom powder, parsley, thyme, sage, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix until evenly blended.
  4. Transfer to an airtight jar or spice container for storage.

Notes

Add rosemary or marjoram for different herbal notes.

Stir in cayenne or smoked paprika for heat and smokiness.

Swap wild mushrooms with porcini or shiitake for different flavors.

Add nutritional yeast for extra umami.
