This 10-Minute BBQ Chicken Wrap is a quick and delicious dinner option featuring tender BBQ chicken, melted cheddar cheese, fresh spinach, and tangy BBQ sauce all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for a fast meal using leftover grilled chicken or rotisserie chicken, it cooks quickly in a skillet for a crispy, golden finish.

Ingredients

Wrap & Sauce

  • 1 8-inch wrap or flour tortilla
  • 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce (15g)
  • 1 Tbsp light mayo (optional)

Filling

  • 3 Tbsp thick shredded cheddar cheese (21g)
  • 1 Air Fryer BBQ chicken breast, chopped (or any leftover grilled or rotisserie chicken)
  • 2 Tbsp red onion, thinly sliced or diced
  • Handful of fresh spinach (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the wrap base: Lay the tortilla flat and spread the BBQ sauce and light mayo (if using) in a line down the middle of the tortilla for a flavorful base.
  2. Add the filling: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the sauce, then layer the chopped BBQ chicken, red onion slices, and fresh spinach on top, ensuring an even distribution.
  3. Roll the wrap: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll tightly from one end to the other, securing the ingredients inside in a wrap shape.
  4. Cook the wrap: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and lightly spray with cooking spray or add a small amount of oil. Place the wrap seam-side down in the hot skillet to seal it and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes until equally golden and the cheese has melted.
  5. Serve: Remove the wrap from the skillet, let it cool slightly, then cut in half and enjoy your warm BBQ chicken wrap.

Notes

  • If you do not have BBQ chicken ready, you can quickly cook a chicken breast in the air fryer or grill before preparing the wrap.
  • Substitute cheddar with your favorite cheese like mozzarella or pepper jack for a different flavor profile.
  • The wrap can be customized with other fresh vegetables such as bell peppers or avocado slices.
  • Light mayo is optional and can be omitted for a lower-fat option or replaced with Greek yogurt.
  • Ensure the wrap is cooked seam-side down first to help prevent it from unrolling during cooking.
  • This wrap is best enjoyed fresh to keep the tortilla crispy.
