These Burger Bowls with House Sauce and Ranch Fries offer a delicious, low-carb alternative to traditional burgers. Juicy, seasoned ground beef is cooked to perfection and served with crispy ranch-seasoned waffle fries, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, all topped with a tangy house sauce. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

For the Beef

  • 1 lb. ground beef (85/15 for the juiciest)
  • 2 teaspoons burger seasoning (one teaspoon per side)

For the Toppings

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Diced burger pickles

For the Fries

  • 1 22-ounce bag frozen waffle fries
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1-ounce packet ranch seasoning mix (or 3 tablespoons)

For the House Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 clove grated garlic

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ranch fries: Preheat your oven and bake the frozen waffle fries according to package directions. Once baked, add 3 tablespoons of butter directly to the sheet pan and toss the fries to coat them, making them juicy. Sprinkle the fries evenly with the ranch seasoning mix, tossing again to distribute the flavor to taste.
  2. Make the house sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and grated garlic until smooth. Taste and season with salt if needed. Set aside.
  3. Cook the beef: Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until very hot, without adding oil if using a well-seasoned pan. Season one side of the ground beef with 1 teaspoon of burger seasoning. Place the beef seasoned side down in the hot skillet, pressing to make contact. Leave it undisturbed for several minutes to develop a browned crust as the fat renders.
  4. Finish the beef: Sprinkle the exposed side of the beef with the remaining 1 teaspoon of seasoning. After a few minutes, flip the beef and break it up into large, fork-sized chunks while continuing to cook until well browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  5. Assemble the burger bowls: Divide the cooked beef crumbles between bowls. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced pickles. Add the ranch fries on the side and drizzle or dollop the house sauce over the beef and toppings. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use a well-seasoned cast iron skillet for best searing results without added oil.
  • Adjust ranch seasoning amount on fries to match your taste preference.
  • For a quicker sauce, substitute with store-bought burger sauce if desired.
  • Ensure not to break up the beef too finely to retain juiciness.
  • Frozen waffle fries can be baked in an air fryer for a crispier texture if preferred.
