This Easy Mixed Berry Mocktail is a refreshing, naturally sweetened drink that combines frozen wild berries, fresh ginger, honey, and a splash of lemon juice for a vibrant, fruity flavor. Served over crushed ice and topped with sparkling water and fresh berries, it’s perfect for a healthy and hydrating non-alcoholic beverage or a festive gathering.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen wild berry blend
  • 1 ounce peeled fresh ginger root
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced (about 1 1/2 tablespoons), optional
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 12 ounces sparkling water
  • Fresh mixed berries for garnish

For Berry Electrolyte Cubes (Optional)

  • Strained berry mixture (from step 1)
  • 1¼ cups coconut water
  • 2-3 fresh berries per ice cube mold

Instructions

  1. Blend the Ingredients: In a high-powered blender, combine the frozen wild berry blend, peeled fresh ginger root, honey, lemon juice (if using), and filtered water. Blend on high for about 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Strain the Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer placed over a bowl or pitcher. Use a spoon to gently press the juice through the strainer, removing the pulp and leaving only the smooth juice.
  3. Assemble the Mocktail: Fill the bottom of a glass with 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the strained berry juice over crushed ice. Top the glass with sparkling water and garnish with fresh mixed berries for an appealing presentation and added freshness.
  4. Create Berry Electrolyte Cubes (Optional): Mix the reserved strained berry mixture with 1¼ cups of coconut water. Pour this blend into ice cube molds, adding 2-3 fresh berries to each mold. Freeze the cubes for up to 12 hours. These berry electrolyte cubes can be added to the glass and topped with sparkling water for a flavorful twist.

Notes

  • If you prefer a sweeter mocktail, adjust the honey quantity to taste.
  • The lemon juice is optional but adds a nice bright acidity to balance the sweetness.
  • Using sparkling water with a natural flavor (like lemon or berry) enhances the drink’s taste.
  • The berry electrolyte cubes can be prepared in advance and stored in the freezer for up to a week.
  • Make sure to use a high-powered blender for a smooth consistency.
  • This mocktail is naturally gluten free and vegetarian.
