This easy pumpkin protein shake is a delicious and nutritious blend perfect for a quick breakfast or post-workout snack. Combining creamy pumpkin puree, a frozen banana, protein powder, and warm autumn spices, this shake is both flavorful and filling, providing a healthy boost of energy in just five minutes.

Ingredients

Shake Ingredients

  • 1 small frozen banana
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 2 Tablespoons rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or more, to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 cup unsweetened or vanilla almond milk
  • 4-6 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the frozen banana, pumpkin puree, vanilla protein powder, rolled oats, pumpkin pie spice, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg into a blender.
  2. Add Liquid and Ice: Pour in the almond milk and top the mixture with 4-6 ice cubes to chill and thicken the shake.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed for 30 to 60 seconds, pausing to scrape down the sides as needed, until the shake is smooth, creamy, and evenly mixed. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute pumpkin puree with canned pumpkin if fresh is not available.
  • Adjust the amount of pumpkin pie spice to your taste preference for spice strength.
  • Use vanilla or unsweetened almond milk based on your sweetness preference.
  • Adding oats adds extra fiber and makes the shake more filling.
  • For a colder shake, freeze the almond milk into ice cubes beforehand.
