This Homemade Crunchwrap Supreme recipe recreates the classic fast-food favorite with layers of seasoned ground beef, crispy tostada, creamy sour cream, nacho cheese sauce, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes all wrapped in a warm, crispy tortilla. Perfect for a fun and hearty meal that you can make right on your stovetop in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Meat Filling

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 ounce packet taco seasoning

Crunchwrap Layers

  • 4 large flour tortillas (12-inch)
  • 4 medium flour tortillas
  • 4 tostadas
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 cup Mexican blend cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef: Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add ground beef and break it apart with a spoon or spatula. Cook until browned, about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain excess grease then stir in the taco seasoning evenly.
  2. Prepare the Crunchwrap base: Lay one large tortilla flat. Spoon seasoned ground beef into the center. Warm nacho cheese sauce and spread it on one side of the tostada, then place the tostada cheese side down on top of the beef. Spread sour cream on the other side of the tostada.
  3. Add toppings and fold: Layer diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and shredded Mexican cheese over the tostada. Place a medium tortilla over these toppings, pressing gently. Fold the edges of the large tortilla up and over the smaller tortilla, overlapping the folds to seal the Crunchwrap. It may be loosely folded but will hold together when cooked.
  4. Cook the Crunchwrap: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the Crunchwrap seam-side down and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, pressing gently with a spatula to crisp and hold shape. Flip and cook the other side for another 30 seconds to 1 minute until golden and crispy. Repeat with remaining Crunchwraps.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately garnished with optional chopped cilantro. Enjoy your homemade Crunchwrap Supreme!

Notes

  • For crispier tostadas, you can bake them briefly before assembling.
  • Use warm tortillas to prevent cracking when folding.
  • Customize with additional toppings like jalapeños, guacamole, or black beans.
  • Pressing gently while cooking helps maintain the Crunchwrap shape and create a crispy crust.
  • Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your stove and skillet.
