A refreshing and nutritious spinach fruit smoothie packed with fresh berries, banana, spinach, and superfoods like flaxseed and hemp hearts. Perfect for a quick breakfast or a healthy snack that combines the natural sweetness of fruit with the added benefits of leafy greens and seeds.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 orange (juice and zest)

Greens and Seeds

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Wash all berries and spinach thoroughly. Peel the banana and zest the orange before juicing it to ensure maximum freshness and flavor.
  2. Add to Blender: Place all the ingredients in the blender bowl, starting with the heaviest items on top for optimal blending. This includes raspberries, strawberries, pineapple chunks, blueberries, banana, spinach, orange juice and zest, flaxseed, and hemp hearts.
  3. Blend Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy, which should take about 1 to 2 minutes depending on your blender’s power.
  4. Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses and enjoy immediately for the best taste and nutrient retention.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen fruit depending on availability; frozen fruit can add a thicker, cooler texture.
  • For added sweetness, a drizzle of honey or agave syrup can be included.
  • To make it vegan, verify that the flaxseed and hemp hearts are organic and free from processing byproducts.
  • Feel free to substitute spinach with kale for a different leafy green flavor.
  • This smoothie is best consumed immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
