These Perfect Steak Bites are a quick and easy way to enjoy tender, juicy sirloin cubes seared to perfection with garlic butter and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Ready in just 15 minutes, this recipe is ideal for a satisfying and flavorful meal that’s perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

Steak Bites

  • 1 pound sirloin strip steak, cut into approximately 1″ cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (salted is fine too)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Minced parsley, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Slice the sirloin strip steak into approximately 1 inch cubes to ensure even cooking and bite-sized portions.
  2. Sear the Steak: Heat a large pan over high heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add the cubed steak, seasoning evenly with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the steak bites to brown nicely on the outside.
  3. Melt Butter and Add Garlic: Remove the cooked steak from the pan and set aside. Lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the pan. Stir until melted, then add the minced garlic. Cook the garlic for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Toss Steak in Garlic Butter: Return the steak bites to the pan, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce for 1-2 minutes. This step coats the steak with flavor and allows it to reach your preferred level of doneness.
  5. Finish and Serve: Sprinkle the steak bites with minced parsley for a fresh herbal note, then serve immediately while hot and tender.

Notes

  • Use a high smoke point oil like olive oil for searing to achieve a nice crust on the steak bites.
  • Ensure the pan is very hot before adding the steak to get a good sear and prevent sticking.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on your desired steak doneness; less time for rare, more for medium or well done.
  • Freshly minced garlic is preferred for the best flavor over pre-minced garlic.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley just before serving to maintain its bright green color and flavor.
  • For added flavor, consider finishing with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a dash of smoked paprika.
