These Turkey Cranberry Sliders are perfect for a quick and flavorful meal or party appetizer. Featuring tender slices of turkey, melted mozzarella cheese, and tangy whole berry cranberry sauce nestled inside soft Hawaiian rolls, they combine savory and sweet flavors with a buttery, poppy seed topping for an irresistible bite.

Ingredients

Sliders

  • 1 Package of 12 Hawaiian Dinner Rolls
  • ½ lb. Turkey, thick sliced
  • 6 slices Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Ocean Spray Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce

Butter Topping

  • 4 tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp. Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. Poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian dinner rolls horizontally in half, keeping the top and bottom clusters intact together on a baking dish or pan.
  3. Layer Ingredients: On the bottom half of the rolls, evenly lay out the thick sliced turkey and then place the mozzarella slices over the turkey. Spread the whole berry cranberry sauce evenly over the cheese layer.
  4. Close Sliders: Place the top half of the rolls back onto the layered bottom half to form the sliders.
  5. Make Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and poppy seeds. Stir well to mix.
  6. Brush Topping: Generously brush this butter mixture over the top of the sliders, ensuring the poppy seeds are evenly distributed.
  7. Bake: Cover the sliders loosely with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and the sliders are heated through.
  8. Serve: Remove from oven, slice the sliders into individual portions, and serve warm for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • For a spicier twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the butter mixture.
  • Substitute mozzarella with provolone or Swiss cheese if preferred.
  • These sliders can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking. Just add a few minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the fridge.
  • Use a serrated knife for easy slicing of the sandwich rolls without squashing the filling.
  • To make smaller portions, use slider-sized rolls and adjust cooking time accordingly.
