This Whipped Goat Cheese recipe offers a smooth, creamy, and herb-infused spread perfect for appetizers or snacking. Made by blending fresh goat cheese with cream cheese, fresh rosemary, thyme, kosher salt, and a touch of hot honey, this versatile cheese spread pairs wonderfully with toasted baguette slices, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Cheese Mixture

  • 10.5 oz fresh goat cheese, at room temperature
  • 4 oz cream cheese, at room temperature (use dairy-free if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey, plus more for drizzling

To Serve

  • Toasted French baguette slices
  • Pita chips
  • Everything baked pretzels
  • Dried fruits
  • Fresh vegetables

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: Ensure the goat cheese and cream cheese are at room temperature for easier blending. Finely chop the fresh rosemary and thyme to distribute evenly throughout the cheese mixture.
  2. Blend cheese and herbs: Add the goat cheese, cream cheese, chopped rosemary, thyme, kosher salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons hot honey into the bowl of a food processor or high-speed blender. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to blend evenly.
  3. Adjust consistency: If the mixture feels too thick, add a splash of heavy cream, milk, or water gradually while blending until you reach your desired creamy consistency.
  4. Serve: Transfer the whipped goat cheese to a serving bowl. Garnish with an additional drizzle of hot honey and sprinkle with more fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately with toasted baguette, pita chips, pretzels, dried fruits, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • Letting the cheeses come to room temperature helps achieve a smooth, creamy blend.
  • Use dairy-free cream cheese to make this recipe suitable for those with dairy sensitivities.
  • Adjust the amount of hot honey to control the sweetness and heat level according to your preference.
  • The whipped goat cheese can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; stir gently before serving.
  • To make it thinner, add liquids (heavy cream, milk, or water) sparingly to avoid over-thinning.
